We have teamed up with Global Gastronauts to bring you a very special Chasbíd Lesson about the significance of Persian New Year for Iranians all over the world (Iranian diaspora).

Happy Persian New Year from the team at Englisi Farsi & GlobalGastronauts!

We just love any excuse to celebrate. Norúz is the day of the vernal equinox and marks the beginning of spring in the Northern Hemisphere.

The term Norúz is a Persian compound word, consisting of the words 'no' and "rúz".

"No" which in old Persian means "new" and "rúz" which translates to the word "day"

Hence "New Day"

Happy New Year everybody! We hope you get to spend it with those you love.
