Where can you find Iranians outside of Iran?   Everywhere!   In fact I bumped into one today. Thank you Amir @misterminit for fixing my favourite summertime wedges.   According to Wiki there are more than 5 million Iranians living outside of Iran. Mostly living in America (Tehrangeles - as in Tehran in Los Angeles), Canada (Tehranto - as in Tehran in Toronto), Australia, Europe, Turkey and in the broader middle east.    We have spread far and wide, yet still remain connected to our origins.  Where did you last bump into a Persian (or Irúní?).

I think it has come the time for me to explain my why.  Two and a half years ago, I was enthusiastically looking for references and resources to help me teach our son Persian. The only thing was... There were NO good resources. All of the books lacked the vowels that I needed to help me read Persian fluently (the á, í, ú, o & e's that we take for granted in English alphabet). All the literature that I was able to access was 'non accented" and there were no phonetic books that my husband could use.    Arie, my son. Is...
