 Struggling to remember the Persian letters? All 32 of them? Inspired by my sons love of drawing. We created caricatures of each Persian Letter including their official Persian letter name.

The Persian alphabet is a beautiful enigma that evaded me for the first 30 years of my life. With different rules, no written vowels (that’s right they are ‘assumed’ because apparently, we can all sight read), zero, one, two or three dots above and below some squiggles, and random selection of S’s, T’s & Z’s

I was well and truly confused.

My son helped me sound out the letters and

find characters that correspond  with each Letter.

For the first time, Iranian and non-Iranian parents can teach their children Persian using the familiar phonetics of the English alphabet also known as Finglisi.
